As if we needed another reason to adore Sarah Jessica Parker! The Sex and the City star just released her newest fragrance, SJP NYC. Sarah Jessica has described the scent this way:
"What I really wanted to do was capture an image, a snapshot in my head
of Carrie Bradshaw, that sort of freeze-frame of her walking down any
New York City street at an idyllic time of year in a floral-print dress
on her way to meet somebody or to do something, or surrounded by her
women friends."
The perfume, with notes of gardenia, wild strawberry and vanilla, was a surprise even to SJP. “What we arrived at was very surprising to me because it’s not notes
that I generally cotton to — but I love it.”
SJP NYC is available at MACY's, starting at $35 for a 1 oz. spray. Sex
and the City 2 will hit theaters on May 28th. Click below to watch

Supermodel, supermama...is there nothing that Heidi Klum can't do? Well, the Project Runway host has recently added "fashion designer" to her resume with the launch of not one, but two, maternity lines! Lavish is a high-end maternity collection being carried exclusively by A Pea in the Pod. Loved is a more moderately priced maternity line created exclusively for Motherhood. Heidi, who just wrapped taping Season 7 of Project Runway, spoke about why she decided to design maternity wear:
"I experienced some style challenges during my four pregnancies, so I
wanted to create maternity fashions that allow women to show off their
beautiful shapes. As my bump grew, I would look in the mirror and be in
awe of the changes happening to my body. I was creating a nourishing
space for this new life. My clothes are all about making you feel great
during this process. Being pregnant shouldn’t keep you from being fashionable and feeling great."
Fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home today, officials have reported.
Details of McQueen's death were not released to the media. However, it was reported that he was devastated over the recent death of his mother. His website currently shows the following statement:
"On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today
announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of
the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this
stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying
that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with
Lee's family. Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."
McQueen's death comes on the same day that one of his latest lines, McQ, was scheduled to show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC.
Truly a legend in the industry, Alexander McQueen will be missed in the fashion world and beyond.
Fashion is always fun, but when it serves a greater purpose, it's that much more fabulous. Such is the case with the newly launched Hope tee from the KC Tees line. KC Tees is a line of Latina-themed graphic tees that are stylish and
inspirational, featuring universal messages in both English and
Spanish. The beautiful Hope tee was created in order to raise support for suicide prevention efforts.
Karen Crawford, KC Tees Founder and CEO, said:
"After I experienced the heartbreaking loss of a young family member who tragically took his own life, it became imperative to raise awareness about this global health problem. People should realize that suicide is the result of mental illness. With more awareness, understanding and treatment, suicide can be prevented. My hope is that anyone who has been touched by suicide in some capacity will help support this effort.”
KC Tees will generously donate 50% from every “Hope” Tee sold to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org).

casual California lifestyle with more distinct expressions of Hollywood
vintage and glamour.”

I know in this celebrity-driven world we all want to aspire to be like the “Celebrity Joneses”. How does Brangelina do it? Six children (including twins!), still in shape and traipsing down the red carpet!
If that were one of us with just one child, the Oscar De La Renta gown would be a robe by Target and covered in baby spit up and formula. The husband would be non-existent (because of course we ARE all Supermom and can do it all alone!) The limo would be replaced by a mini van with Cheerios stuck between the seat cushions and sour milk spilled on the carpet. There would be a broken R2D2 toy from a Happy Meal under the seat and the dog’s rabies tag would be used to keep the car heater knob in the “on” position!
