Review: Puppy Paws Memory Lockets

Puppy-pawsWhether you're a dog or a cat lover, you'll definitely fall in love with the Puppy Paws Jewelry Collection. Among the line's beautifully crafted earrings ($24.99-$39.99), charms ($79.99-$179.99), and rings ($39.99), there are adorable paw pendants with colored crystals in both sterling silver and 14k Gold (prices vary) that represent your pet's birthday or "adoption" day.

What touched our hearts the most was the newest addition to the Puppy Paws Jewelry Collection: The Memory Locket. The idea hearkens back to the Victorian era, when people would braid a bit of their deceased beloved's hair into a ring or locket. Available in sterling silver or 14k Gold, the Puppy Paws Memory Locket (starting at $99) comes in the shape of a heart, oval or round. A tiny amount of cremains or a locket of your pet's hair is permanently placed in the locket and sealed with an acrylic resin.

The Memory Locket is customizable, can feature your pet's birthstone, and comes with an 18", 14k or sterling silver chain. FYI: Puppy Paws only creates one Memory Locket at a time, out of respect for each pet. And once you receive your Memory Locket, you'll be able to keep Fido close to your heart forever.

Must-Have: Blankyclip

BLANKYCLIP We instantly fell in love with blankyclip. The clips, which are designed to hold errant blankies in place on your baby's stroller, are just adorable. Available in the shape of ducks, chicks, or bears ($48/pair with a blanket), blankyclips are beyond soft. We tested them out, and they have a surprisingly strong grip. And when Baby wakes up, she can safely play with the clips. We love a toy that can multitask.

Must-Have: The Mommy Mitten

PinkMitten_Stroller_Fade The Mommy Mitten is one of those products that begs the question: "How come no one ever thought of this before?" A hand warmer that secures around the handlebar of your stroller, the Mommy Mitten ($29.99) is an insulated, water-resistant, fleece-lined little miracle that keeps your hands warm as you stroll Baby through the cold winter months. Available in pink or aqua, it even comes with a pocket that's perfect for your cell and car keys. We like it because you can take your hands out quickly to tend to Baby, instead of having to remove your gloves and put them away first. It's a must-have for moms on the go, which theoretically, is every mom.
