Planning your baby registry can be a very exciting (and overwhelming) experience. While it can be fun to add adorable itty bitty baby items to your registry, you’re never really sure what you’re actually going to need or use until Baby arrives. And as a new Pampers survey points out, many new moms are missing important items on their baby registry—and regretting it.
According to the survey, 9 out of 10 moms wished they had included more everyday essentials—like diapers—on their baby registry. Although opening up a package of wipes at your baby shower might not be as cute as that layette you requested, you’ll be ever-so-grateful for them at 3:00 AM after another baby diaper explosion.
Which makes sense, since almost half of the moms surveyed said that items like diapers, changing pads, and wipes were the gifts that they used most often (sorry, baby wipe warmers). Ironically, 1 in 3 moms-to-be reported having felt guilty registering for them.
